Day 1) Montecassino – Reggia di Caserta - Naples
Drive to Naples and stop at Montecassino Abbey: In the middle ages it became the most famous cultural, educational, and medical centre of all Europe; with its huge library the Benedictines played a great role in the progress of medicine and science in the Middle Ages influencing the development of European civilization while Europe was emerging from the ‘dark night of history’ that had followed the ruin of the Roman Age. On the way to Naples we find the stunning Reggia di Caserta a World Unesco Site created on the style of Versailles. A guided tour will show you the architectonic and artistic spots as the Cannocchiale a scenographic invention aimed to amaze the observer: a long central gallery through which you can see in the distance the succession of fountains of the Royal Park.
Day 2 Naples
Naples is a symbol of Italy, each Italian says: “Vedi Napoli e poi Muori”, which means : You can’t miss a visit to Naples one in a lifetime”; one of the most exciting cities in the world with its traditions, colorful streets, the food, the joy of its citizens, the happiness of its people, and the blue enchanting bay! After taking the famous worldwide known “espresso” and classic “sfogliatella”, symbols of the true Italian lifestyle enjoy the guided tour visiting the highlights of the city: Maschio Angioino, Royal Palace, San Carlo opera house, Santa Chiara Church and the famous Cristo Velato.
Day 3 NAPLES
Naples is the birthplace of the “pizza napolitana”, so we will Join a pizza making at one of the oldest pizzerias in the city: roll out the dough, top with fresh tomatoes or typical “passata di pomodoro” and bake it in a wood-burning oven. The afternoon will be free for shopping or visiting the National Archaeological Museum, few people know that it is considered to be one of the greatest museums in the entire world as it contains a rich repository of collected artefacts from Greek Antiquity.
DAY 4 Pompeii – Sorrento
Pompeii, the prosperous Roman town, buried in 79AD by a massive eruption of Mount Vesuvius. A guided tour of the excavations will introduce you to the ancient town while walking through its streets.Overnight in Sorrento.
DAY 5 Amalfi Coast
Travel along the Amalfi coast, one of the most stunning routes in the world! The view is like a picture of the typical enchanting landscape: Mediterranean Gardens, wine grapes, lemon trees area over an infinite blue sea below. The tour will include: Positano, Ravello, Maiori and Amalfi for instance, giving the change to experience this region of luxurious locations, spectacular scenery, and culinary charm, a gateway to paradise!
Day 6 Capri
The last day is dedicated to Capri the scenic island where the stunning vegetation has created a unique panorama for the residence of the Emperor Tiberius and many historical and political celebrities over centuries, here is the place where every Italian dreams to have his holidays home! Enjoy a Gelato in La Piazzetta in the centre of the island or take a private tour of the Faraglioni by boat!
Day 7 Sorrento
Continue on to Sorrento in, time to explore the town famous for its relaxed atmosphere, joining the Italian lifestyle and beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and fine dining experiences.
